From July 16 to 20, 2025, more than 500 participants will gather at the “Antonio Aguilar Barraza” Monumental Charro Arena in Zacatecas, where 45 teams, including the 36 most prominent teams from all over Mexico and the nine best from the state of Zacatecas, will showcase their skill and passion for charrería.
In addition, the nine most important escaramuzas in the state will grace the event with their abilities.
The program will include 15 high-level charreadas, an escaramuza fair, and a coleadero of excellence, along with competitions in various categories: professional, intermediate, amateur, children’s, youth, and women’s.
The Excellence Charro Circuit will feature the participation of prominent teams such as El Soyate, RG2, Tamaulepecos, Tres Regalos, and Villa Oro, who promise to provide a spectacle full of tradition and excitement.
In addition, attendees will be able to enjoy exhibitors and a shopping area outside the Lienzo Charro, where they will find saddlery, tailors, a food hall, and a grand celebration, all centered on the excellence that characterizes Zacatecas.
Ticket sales will be available at TopTickets starting July 1st, so the public can secure their spot at this magnificent event, which will bring together the best of national and international charrería in the beautiful land of Zacatecas.
Tourism Secretary Le Roy Barragán Ocampo emphasized that this is the first time that the Excelencia Charra event has been presented in the state, fulfilling Governor David Monreal Ávila’s mandate to host events that boost Zacatecas’s economic growth.
Jorge Rojo Lugo, president of the Excelencia Charra Circuit, expressed his gratitude to the state government and highlighted the warmth and hospitality of the people of Zacatecas.
