New National Guard headquarters in Zacatecas enters final stage of construction

With an investment exceeding 236 million pesos, Governor David Monreal Ávila inspected the progress of the new headquarters for the State Coordination of the National Guard, one of the most important security infrastructure projects underway in Zacatecas. According to state authorities, the project is in its final stages.

Accompanied by the State Coordinator of the National Guard, Vicente Dimayuga Canales, the governor toured the facilities, confirming that the civil works have been completed and that complementary work is currently being carried out, including the installation of the necessary equipment for its upcoming commissioning.

The complex will include operational and security areas

The new complex represents an investment of 236,881,933 pesos and has a construction area of ​​25,015 square meters.

Among its main features are the command center, parade ground, flagpole, dining hall with a capacity for 120 people, accommodations for enlisted personnel, officers, and commanders, as well as weapons depots, workshops, a service building, and a vehicle park.

The infrastructure also includes parking for 100 vehicles, four elevated guard posts, a wastewater treatment plant, an elevated water tank, a cistern, a multi-purpose court, and an 886-meter-long perimeter fence designed to reinforce the security of the facility.

Final Details Being Completed Before Operations

During the inspection, David Monreal instructed that the complementary works and the surrounding urbanization project be completed in the coming weeks to ensure that the facilities meet the necessary operating and security requirements before beginning operations.

He also ordered the establishment of a working group, headed by the Ministry of Public Works, to monitor pending actions and coordinate the project’s completion.

Members of the State Peacebuilding Committee participated in the tour, taking advantage of the visit to hold their weekly meeting and review the security strategies being implemented in the state.

The new National Guard headquarters aims to strengthen the corporation’s operational capacity in Zacatecas and provide better conditions for carrying out security operations in the state.
