With the goal of fostering entrepreneurship among young people, the Government of Zacatecas, led by Governor David Monreal Ávila, through the Youth Institute (Injuventud), in coordination with the Municipal Youth Directorate of Guadalupe, inaugurated the “Rockstar Business” conference series, aimed at high school students, at the facilities of Campus 1 of the Zacatecas State College of Baccalaureate (Cobaez).

As part of the Progress Agenda, promoted by Governor David Monreal Ávila, these types of initiatives are carried out to create spaces that inspire, motivate, and provide tools to young people interested in starting businesses, innovating, and developing their own projects.

The Director General of Cobaez, Francisco Javier González Ávila, expressed his gratitude to the Youth Institute for its valuable collaboration and commitment to promoting the talent and creativity of students.

“This combined effort strengthens opportunities for the student community to have spaces to express their ideas, develop skills, and build projects that positively impact their environment, thus generating progress.”

González Ávila emphasized that Cobaez promotes a well-rounded education where art and culture play a fundamental role in the development of its students. Through these initiatives, creativity, social awareness, and critical thinking are fostered—elements that contribute to personal well-being and the strengthening of the social fabric.

He also invited Cobaez students to transform their talent into artistic and cultural projects that contribute to the progress of their communities. He noted that creative entrepreneurship allows for the generation of well-being, opens new opportunities, and demonstrates that young people have the capacity to build a future with innovation, identity, and social commitment.

René David Rangel Ochoa, director of the Cobaez Zacatecas campus, highlighted that the growth in student enrollment implies greater responsibilities for educational and governmental authorities, particularly in addressing the challenges faced by young people.

He pointed out that it is important to identify the risks that can arise at this stage of life, such as drug use, misuse of free time, or alcohol consumption; however, he emphasized that the decisions about what to do or what not to do will always rest with each individual young person.

He explained that these types of dynamic activities allow students to broaden their minds, reflect, and complement their education. He expressed his gratitude that these initiatives are reaching out to educational institutions and his hope that they will continue permanently to strengthen awareness among young people.

Mauricio Acevedo Rodríguez, Director General of the Zacatecas State Youth Institute, reported that these actions are being carried out in accordance with the instructions of Governor David Monreal Ávila, for whom it is essential that young people have access to tools and knowledge from an early age.

He explained that, during this month, 10 tours will be conducted at high schools in the municipality of Guadalupe, with the goal of reaching more than 3,500 young people, who will be able to participate in conferences and workshops focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and personal development.

The program includes various conferences geared toward developing business skills and digital sales, among them “Entrepreneurship of a Rockstar Business,” “How to Be a Rockstar Business and Famous in Digital Sales?” and “Being a Financial Rockstar Business.”

Present at the event were Blanca Esthela Torres Torres, assistant director of the Zacatecas campus; Aarón Basurto Menchaca, municipal director of Youth for Guadalupe; and Jorge Daniel Isais del Hoyo, director of Youth Development.

With these actions, the Government of Zacatecas is working for the progress of families through initiatives aimed at regenerating the social fabric and strengthening opportunities for young people.
