The Guanajuato State Attorney General’s Office announced the indictment of Jessica Elizabeth “N,” accused of being an accomplice in the aggravated kidnapping of a woman from the state of Zacatecas, as part of a coordinated investigation between state authorities.
According to official information, the events occurred on December 19, 2025, when the victim arrived in the city of León, Guanajuato, and subsequently lost contact with her family.
A day later, the family began receiving extortion calls, prompting them to file an immediate report and launch a joint operation between the Attorney General’s Offices of the states of Guanajuato and Zacatecas.
Thanks to intelligence and investigative work, authorities were able to locate and rescue the victim alive, without any ransom being paid. On the same day she was rescued, two people were arrested and subsequently indicted for their alleged involvement in the crime.
“Through intelligence work, the victim was located and released alive, without any ransom being paid. Two people were arrested on the day of the release and are now facing criminal charges,” the Prosecutor’s Office reported.
With the recent court ruling against Jessica Elizabeth “N,” the number of people facing charges in this aggravated kidnapping case has risen to three. The Prosecutor’s Office emphasized that this action reaffirms the institution’s commitment to combating this crime and sending a clear message to society: kidnapping is investigated, prosecuted, and punished according to the law.
The Guanajuato State Attorney General’s Office announced the dismantling of a criminal cell dedicated to kidnapping, as well as the arrest of two men allegedly responsible for abducting and subsequently murdering a person, even after receiving a ransom payment of 50,000 pesos.
The detainees were identified as Daniel Alejandro “N” and Antonino “N,” who are facing criminal charges after a judge formally charged them with aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder. Both remain in pretrial detention pending the completion of further investigations.
According to information gathered by law enforcement authorities, the events occurred on the night of December 4, 2025. That day, the now-accused allegedly lured the victim to the parking lot of a business located in the León I neighborhood, where the victim was intercepted and abducted.
The victim was subsequently taken to another location, where the perpetrators contacted the victim’s family and demanded a ransom for the victim’s release. Through threats and intimidation, they obtained a bank transfer as payment for the ransom.
However, despite receiving the demanded money, the alleged kidnappers physically assaulted the victim and ultimately caused the victim’s death by mechanical asphyxiation.
