Xóchitl Gálvez begins the campaign with a night walk and promises of security from Fresnillo, Zacatecas, the most insecure municipality in Mexico.

Xóchitl Gálvez began his presidential campaign with a speech focused on his security strategy and a minute of silence for the murdered people.

At midnight, and with candles in hand, the Xochitl Galvez team started a walk through the streets of Fresnillo.

Before her speech, the candidate asked for a minute of silence for all the people murdered in Mexico.

Xóchitl Gálvez took advantage of her speech to criticize the six-year term of Andrés Manuel López Obrador and her opponent Claudia Sheinbaum, a person who has been declared indolent with victims and cold in the face of tragedies.

Massacres, femicides, missing persons, murders of civilians and police, bodies in the street, land rights, extortion, people afraid of stepping out of their homes, in these six years the figure of 180 thousand intentional homicides was exceeded. People are afraid because this six-year term is already the most violent six-year term in history.

The candidate focused her first speech on her security strategy and unveiled some of her proposals.

Insecurity affects everyone equally, but together we can overcome it and there is a demand that unites all Mexicans: we want to live without fear and to achieve this, as president of one, I propose a security model with head, heart, and courage.

Among her promises is to make the members of the National Guard cheaper, as well as make them one hundred percent civilian.
