The Local Missing Persons Search Commission of the Government of Zacatecas provided support, assistance, and attention to groups of families of missing persons as part of generalized forensic search activities in the municipality of Río Grande.

As part of the commitment of the administration of Governor David Monreal Ávila to strengthening these types of actions, personnel from the Local Search Commission, in collaboration with their counterparts from the State of Durango, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Attention to Forced Disappearance and Disappearance Committed by Individuals, and the National Search Commission, carried out search activities in the municipality.

Representatives of groups of families of missing persons participated in the search efforts. Search notices were posted in the municipal seat by the Durango-based collective “Buscando a Emilio.” Subsequently, search and field-survey activities were carried out in the Los Rodríguez community, in Río Grande.

These actions were supported by personnel from the Secretariat of Public Security, the Mexican Army, and the National Guard.
