Armed subjects intercepted a bus in which around 40 passengers were traveling, then shot at the unit and set it on fire in the municipality of Guadalupe, Zacatecas.
The events took place on Wednesday afternoon, on state highway number 181, in the direction of the community of San Jerónimo, where the passengers experienced moments of panic.
According to the spokesperson for the State Peacebuilding Table, the police forces mounted an operation on Highway 181, after they were reported an armed attack.
Upon arrival, they found, at Rancho Los Encinos, a Transportes Amarillos passenger truck on fire, which blocked the highway in both directions.
They detailed that according to the report, armed men fired at the bus, set it on fire and then fled, for which reason the security authorities deployed in the area.
Fortunately, the spokesperson detailed, there were no people injured ; however, local media added that some passengers suffered nervous breakdowns after the attack.
For their part, paramedics and firefighters from the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) took charge of putting out the fire and caring for the crew.
