The Zacatecas State Health Secretariat (SSZ) reported that 58 cases of measles have been detected in the state so far.
All of the infections were imported from the state of Durango, specifically in the municipalities of Villa de Cos and Fresnillo, where three deaths have been reported.
The SSZ indicated that its personnel, in conjunction with other agencies within the health sector, are maintaining intensive efforts in that region of Zacatecas, including vaccinations, testing for suspected cases, and providing counseling about the disease.
