Zacatecas stands out for having managed, during the third quarter of 2020, to export one thousand 62.4 million dollars, which meant an important growth compared to the third quarter of 2019, when it registered 783.081 million dollars, which represents a growth of 35.7 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
The Zacatecas state government will reinforce actions and strategies to consolidate the growth of the Zacatecas economy, assured Alejandro Tello Cristerna, after learning that the entity had the best export performance in the second quarter of 2020.
Recently, the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) released the report on the value of merchandise exports, which shows the participation of each state in the commercial exchange that Mexico carries out with the rest of the country and the world.
Until the third quarter of 2020, Zacatecas had reached a global amount of exports of more than 2.5 billion US dollars. It also highlights that only a little more than a dozen of the 32 states of Mexico registered a positive behavior in their exports during 2020.
Therefore, Alejandro Tello highlighted the joint effort that is being made between the government and private investment to move Zacatecas forward despite the economic adversities that are being experienced worldwide, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
With regard to 2019, INEGI reports that Zacatecas closed that year with an amount greater than 2,865 million dollars in exports, a figure higher than that of states like Durango with 2,632 million dollars; Sinaloa with 2,661 million dollars; Yucatan with just over a billion dollars, among others.
